Hey everyone!  Thanks for all the well wishes on my birthday.  It was a pretty good birthday for a 31st birthday.  Kristin made me a really yummy and cool breakfast.  She made baked french toast with raspberries.  It was really good.  But, I had to go to work.  We are in the middle of an “exercise” so technically I am not allowed to go on leave until its over.  But, I did come home for lunch which I normally don’t do.  That was fun too.  Then, that night we went to Chilli’s and Kristin and I split the fajita platter.  The boys were pretty good, at least at the restaurant.  When we came home Kristin had a flan cake waiting for me!   YUMMY!  It was also very good.  So, that was it in a nutshell.  Kristin did get me a suit.  It is a light-grey pin stripe.  I’ve been needing a new suit for a while now and this is a really nice one.  I can’t wear it yet because it is getting tailored, but next week!  Plus I got some new ties which I have been wanting for a while as well.  So, they were good presents.  I also got some Wii points and downloaded Super Mario 3 and a bunch of songs for Rockband. 

Everything else is going pretty well I guess.  Will is finally pooping in the potty by himself!!!   YEAH!!!!!  Even in diapers, he takes them off and goes in the potty.  We are super stoked about that.  Asher is doing well also.  He finally learned how to open doors on his own so we have to lock doors to rooms we don’t want him in.  He is getting bigger and taller and talking more and more.  He is a fun little guy.  Ellie-Jayne is also getting a lot bigger.  She actually fits into her 0-3 month clothes now which opened up a whole new wardrobe for her.   She also slept 8 hours last night!  Consecutively!  WoW!  I was really excited about that!  Let’s hope the trend continues!  Kristin is also doing well.  She is keeping the status-quo.  She has this hot new blond bombshell look going on which I dig.  I’m not sure she likes the bl0nd hair a lot, but she’s stuck with it for now.

Well, that’s about it!  I’ll post some video of the birthday when I get a chance so keep a look out!

This last week I was in a “boot camp” for a certification called CISSP or Certified Information Systems Security Professionals.  Basically, the class is to prepare you for the exam which is 250 questions and you have to get about 70% to pass.  The certificate itself is very prized.  It basically tells others that you are a security professional….very coveted.  However, the test is $500 and you have to pass to get it!  I think the government has some vouchers so I hope to do that.  The class was great, but it was draining.  I mean, 8-5 for 5 days with minimal breaks…it was worse than when I was still in school!  Usually 40 hours of school is spread out, not crammed into one week.  Oh well.  It was pretty insightful…especially knowing how negligent a lot of companies are about security and making our transactions secure.  Most measures are purely to make breaking in more cumbersome, not impossible.  Its kind of scary!  Anyway, I have a few weeks to study before the exam so wish me luck!

We had a major breakthrough with Will this week.  He poo pooed in the potty all by himself!  It was quite an accomplishment.  He actually went in the potty without haveing to ask or to be told.  He just needed a little help wiping.  So, we made it a big deal.  He was very proud, as were we.  We called up the grandparents to make it more of a big deal.  Hopefully it’ll stick.  Even if he has accidents, at least we know we are on the right track.

Everyone else seems to be doing well.  Ellie-Jayne is sleeping very well now.  We have to let her cry herself to sleep sometimes, but once you get passed that unpleasantness, she sleep for 4 hours at a time!  So, that’s great news.  She keeps getting bigger and bigger!  Kristin continues to loose that baby weight.  Not as much or as fast as she may want, but its coming off.  Asher, well, he is Asher.  Always happy!  Although, he and Will have started to get at each other a lot more lately and Asher’s reaction to almost everything is sonic screaming.  It can get on your nerves for sure.

Anyway, that’s about it for now I suppose.  Congrats to Kyle for graduating!   That is pretty awesome.  Rock rock on!

Well, this is it I guess.  This is going to be my new blog site.  I’ve made the executive decision.  I can’t update it at work which I could before, but what a rediculous domain name I had before right?  I mean, how is anybody supposed to know how to find my blog with that stupid domain name.  This one is much better.

Anyway, just to update you quickly, we had a great time with grandma and grandpa.  They have been home a week now, but we are still remembering the cool things we did.

This is when we went to the cathedral in Metz.  We had a lot of fun in Metz but it was pretty darn cold as well.  Of course, me and Kristin were pretty used to it so we aren’t in heavy coats but mom and dad suffered.

I had to include this picture as well since it was one of the few of mom.  We ate at this really cool restaurant underground in Trier.  The food was great too!  Below is the same restaurant, just grandpa and Asher.

So, we had tons of fun and the blessing was great too.  Of course, after they leave the wheather is amazing!  Sunny and warm! (65-70 degrees!)  Well, that’s warm for us anyway.  That’s shorts wheather!

Conference was good too.  Its so hard being out here with the weird time differences but we heard what we could and can’t wait for the publications. 

Will pooped in the potty today all by himself!  I can’t believe it!  What a break through!  We did several things which I think helped, but I won’t go into poop too much on my blog   So, with that I will actually post something!  Check back soon!

Well, I moved sites cause I moved domain carriers.  I hope this works out okay.  I am still debating whether to go with this or the google blog like everyone else on the planet.  Well, stay posted!
