Wanna play this game?

Well, I have played and beaten this game.  I will be happy to mail it to anyone who would like to play although you have to promise not to send it off to GameStop for a trade until everyone who wants to has played it.  Just let me know and I’ll mail it right away.

Overall it was a pretty fun game, I’ll give it a B-.  The story was probably the best part.  Lots of Norse mythology.  Graphics were on par for Wii games.  Not great but not bad either.  Sounds and voice was cool too.  Oh, and Lara has big boobs.  The worst part about the game was the controls.  They were easy and intuitive enough but that was when they worked right!  Seemed like at least a third of the time if you weren’t paying close attention or the camera angle wasn’t right, you’d go jumping off to your death.  What a drain.  But hey, Lara has big boobs and wears skimpy clothes.  That partially made up for it.  Like I said, I give it a B-.

So, How it all went down…

March 14, 2009 at 10:28 am (Uncategorized)

Well, it wasn’t 100% smooth, but well enough.  It all started on a day like today.  Business as usual.  Kristin had a doctor’s appointment at 11am and the doctor stripped her cervix thus instigating the labor process.  However, contractions didn’t really begin to become regular until 4pm.  So, I had gone to work and we had dinner as usual.  We knew the baby was coming so we went to the store to get those last few things we needed before the baby arrived.  All the walking around really got things moving!  So, we decided to take the boys over to our friends house knowing that the baby would come sometime in the night.  That was around 8pm.  We went straight to the doctor after that.  So, about 9:30 they start to monitor Kristin.  Of course, as soon as she laid down on the table in triage the contractions stopped.  And they didn’t believe Kristin that the baby would be here soon!  Plus she was only dilated to 4cm.  So, around 10:30 they told us to go walk around and come back in an hour or two.  So we started to walk around the hospital.  After 45 min. Kristin could hardly walk any more.  Of course, we head back and they check her out and she is at 6cm!  No time to lose!  So, they take her in the birthing room and start getting set up.  She gets an IV and they start to draw blood to test to make sure she is ok for an epidural.  Well, that process took nearly and hour cause the stupid tech couldn’t figure it out!  Kristin was really panting and breathing heavy up to this point.  It was also at about this point that she needed to start pushing!  Well, she was having none of that!  She held onto that baby for another hour for the anesthesiologist to do his magic and for the drugs to kick in.  21 minutes later (7 contractions worth) the baby was here!  So, Kristin did an amazing job.  The doctor and head nurse are in our ward so that was nice as well.  It could have been a little more pain free but everything turned out okay.

The hospital stay was a little weird to me, but better than the German hospital stay (in Kristin’s opinion).  There was absolutely no room in the “Inn” so she was squeezed into a small room with 2 other women.  Also, there is no nursery so you have to keep the baby by your bedside the whole time.  Fortunately she only had to endure for about 36 hours and we were able to bring her home.  Its been a week now and we are slowly getting into a routine.  The boys are doing really well with Ellie-Jayne.  Will is constantly asking to hold her.  Sometimes its annoying, but it is sweet.  Asher likes to look at her and say baby over and over.  Mom and Dad really like her too (that’s why we’re keeping her). :)   She is so sweet and beautiful and she loves to sleep on our chest (daddy’s favorite) which the boys rarely did.  So, that’s about it.  Grandma and Grandpa Baillio are coming next week and we are really stoked for that.  Here is a pic in the hospital the day we left.
