The stupid dollar is suffering…now it costs an arm and a leg to live here. Now it is virtually impossible to buy stuff on the economy. It is now $1.40 to a euro. The crappy thing is that we are still paying a lof of bills in Euro but we don’t get paid more salary wise.

Speaking of salary, there have been several new developments salary wise that may help us to stay and fix our pay to an acceptable level. Evidently management can approve a 20% raise if a promotion occurs which technically is what happens when I graduate the PAQ program. This would put my salary to where it should be and then some. That would fix things and we could stay and work out some of our bills and possibly save some moeny! Although, we have started setting out heart in returning. We’ll see. Josh sent in his congressional appeal and it should arrive on friday. Next week he’ll be contacted and things should accelerate fairly quickly. So, we’ll have to see how things play out. Technically we have until next February so we still have some time to see what is going to happen. We’ll keep you posted as always!

Well, I am back with the family…finally after 6 long and hot and humid weeks (for me anyway). It was really fun seeing them again. I took a shuttle back home and when I got home I rang the door bell and I could here Kristin say, “Daddy’s here!” I heard Will running down the stairs yelling, “Daddy! Daddy!” He opened the door and we had big hugs. It was a lot of fun. Then I saw my beautiful wife and we hugged and kissed and that was great. Asher was asleep when I came home but later when he woke up Kristin brought him and I when he saw me he had big smiles and was so sweet after waking up. I have the cutest and most fun kids on the planet. You tend to get caught up in all the bad stuff they do and don’t stop enough to appreciate how wonderful they are.

So, it has been a fun few days being back with the family. I am slowly reacclimating to the time change but I’m getting there. I had to go back to work today which was a bummer but you gotta do what you have to do. But, it is nice being back over all. I am happy to be back with the family and my wife. Anyway, more updates to come!

Well, finally after many long and boring weeks I am finally going home. There were some highs and some lows but finally I am going home. I leave on Friday morning and don’t actually make it home till Saturday morning…freaking international flights. I just want to get home and see my familly again. I think it has been a learning experience for everyone, although I am sure none of us wants to do it again anytime soon. I did meet some good people and when I go to Utah again I have some contacts (aside from my inlaws! I would visit them first and formost!) So, the networking has been good but being away from family is hard. It is funny though to see the Jekly and Hyde effect. Some of these guys get here and are totally different people than they would be at home. They drink much more and go out all night and go to strip clubs or gambling or whatever else! It’s nuts.

Anyway, seems like we have made it unscathed though. Asher will be so much bigger and Will is just chatting away. It’ll be fun to see the changes. Not to mention being with my hot wife again!

Well, just one more week to go in this crazy place! I can’t wait to be home again. I am such a homebody…nothin is fun without my family. Plus, eating crap for 5 weeks can get old fast. I ahve to work out everyday just to stay the same weight! It’s nuts. Plus, this whole 5 in the morning stuff can’t last. Right after lunch is a nightmare…I have to guzzle Mountain Dew or some other energy drink for an hour to make it through the rest of class. Things can get really dull really fast especially when you are talking about Air Force doctrine, policies and theory. man, blow your brains out…

Anyway, all is well at home. At least the time has gone by faster for them. They finally put the windows up in the stairway so that is nice. Now they won’t be back for several more weeks but hey, baby steps right? I put up a ton more older pics on my picasso site. Check the link below in my previous entry. Anyway, nothin more to update.
