Hey everyone! Thought I would give you an update! Things in Alabama were really nice. I had a good course and I was able to get out and around on Friday. I missed my flight back to Frankfurt though due to the weather so I didn’t leave until Monday! So I didn’t get back home until Tuesday! It was a long weekend but it was fun. I brought home a lot of presents for everyone and that was fun too.
For those of you who are avid readers or enjoy young adult literature, I have a new series you gotta read. It is called the Bartimaues Trilogy and it is a lot of fun. It is interesting too in that it is written by the djinni who is very funny and adds little foot notes along the way to elighten the reader about what is going on and what he means by certain things. It is really clever. Also, the main character is really complex…sometimes you love him and sometimes you hate him. It is really well done. If you wanna borrow ours, let me know. I just started the third one so I can send the set soon.
Well, only three more weeks till Asher is born! We went to the hospital last week for a tour and an information session. It is interesting because the hospital really caters to the mom…pretty much whaterver you want goes. They take really good care of you and you can have your baby standing up, sitting in a recliner, laying down, in a jacuzzi…a million ways. The only drawback is they have to keep you there for 3-4 days at least. In Stillwater, we left the next day! We will have to find some alternate entertainment for Kristin. But, we are excited!
Finally, my birthday is this weekend. 29 years….through all my years this is what I have learned….never try to save money by buying cheap toilet paper. Good toilet paper is worth its weight in gold. I hope you all learned something from this today.
